Following the disappointment of missing out on promotion and the East Riding cup, Riccall United managers Liam Bradley and Mick Wright are already working hard to bring more quality and depth to the squad in time for the start of Pre-Season training at the beginning on July.

The club is very pleased to announce that former players Liam Olsson; Jason Roughley; Gareth Roberts; and Alan Jackson have all agreed in principle to re-join the club for the 2008/2009 season from Premier Division club Kartiers. In addition to this the 2007/2008 first team squad members will all be retained with Jack Rogers and Dean Greenhough also returning from University.

Further updates will follow in the build up to Pre-Season.

11/05/2008 - Last night's Presentation Evening at the Parsonage saw one or two new names added to the list of trophy winners. Captain Jeremy James collected the main prize of Players Player of the Year for the 1st team with Tom Free collecting the reserves trophy. Manager's Player of the year went to Veteran Pete Collier for the 1st team and Andy Tingey for the Reserves. Top Goalscorers were John Knowles (19) and Paul Shah (17) for the 1st team and reserves respectively whilst Paul Shah won the Clubman of the year.

The club would like to thank Darren Davis and the Parsonage for their hospitality.

Thursday 3rd July 2008 - Pre-Season 2008 - All players are expected to report back for training. All new players are welcome also!

Thursday 10th July 2008 - Riccall United Football Club Annual General Meeting - The club gives all members notice of this year's AGM to be held at the Regen Centre, Riccall at 7:30pm. This meeting is to be followed by the Committee Meeting. All nominations; proposals; etc should be submitted in writing no less than 7 days before the meeting to Liam Bradley.

Combined - Accident & Injury Insurance

Following a number of serious injuries over the last few years at the club, John Brown from Combined visited training last night to discuss the types of insurance on offer to players and the benefits.

Players are reminded that whilst the club does provide it's players with insurance, this insurance is just the basic and we advise all our players to take out their own personal policies to supplement this.
